Cookie Policy
Which cookies our site uses, why, and how to change your choice.
Last updated: October 18, 2026
The short version
- Essential cookies keep the cart, checkout and your cookie choice working — they are always on.
- Analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and WooCommerce visit sources): in the US they’re on unless you turn them off; in the EU, UK, Switzerland and other countries we ask first.
- We honor the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser.
- We don’t use advertising cookies.
- Change your choice any time with Cookie settings.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others help the owner understand how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, are covered here too.
Essential cookies (always on)
These keep the store working, so they can’t be turned off in the banner.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart | Our store (WooCommerce) | Remember that you have items in your cart. | Session |
wp_woocommerce_session_* | Our store (WooCommerce) | Keeps your cart and checkout details while you shop. | 2 days |
cookiez-user-consent | Our cookie banner | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner. | Up to 1 year |
wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_* | WordPress | Keep staff signed in. Customers don’t need an account. | Session or 2 weeks |
__cf_bm | Elementor (Cloudflare) | Protects the cookie banner and accessibility services from bots. | 30 minutes |
Analytics cookies
These help us see how visitors use the site so we can improve it. If you’re in the United States they load unless you turn them off in the banner or with Cookie settings; if you’re in the European Union, the UK, Switzerland or another country, they load only after you allow them. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, they stay off. While analytics are off, Google receives only basic signals without cookies (Google Consent Mode), so we can still count visits in aggregate.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors so we can count visits and returning customers. | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit (session) for our measurements. | 2 years |
_clck | Microsoft Clarity | Keeps an anonymous ID so we can tell new and returning visitors apart. | 1 year |
_clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Links the pages of one visit into a single session. | 1 day |
CLID, MUID | Microsoft (clarity.ms) | Identify the browser to Microsoft’s Clarity service. | Up to 13 months |
sbjs_* | Our store (WooCommerce) | Record how you found us (for example, Google or a link) so we know which channels bring orders. | Session to 6 months |
Other technologies
- Accessibility widget: settings you choose, such as bigger text or high contrast, are saved in your browser so they stay on as you move between pages.
- Payments: at checkout, card details are entered in Square’s secure fields. Square may use cookies or similar tools to prevent fraud; Square’s Privacy Notice applies.
- Maps: the Google Map on our pages may set Google cookies when it loads.
- Security: our security service (Wordfence) may set cookies to protect staff sign-ins and tell real visitors from bots.
How to change your choice
Use Cookie settings (also at the bottom of every page) to allow or block analytics at any time. Turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser also turns analytics off. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout need the essential cookies to work.
